Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored twice to become the first Premier League player to reach 10 goals for the season before goals from Alexandre Lacazette and Lucas Torreira secured all three points for Unai Emery's team.
And there were plenty of emotional reactions on social media as the Gunners moved to fourth in the English topflight log.

1 - Lucas Torreira is the fourth Arsenal player to score his first ever Premier League goal for the club in a match against Spurs, after Nicklas Bendtner, Mikael Silvestre and Per Mertesacker. Greats. #ARSTOT — OptaJoe (@OptaJoe) December 2, 2018
Unai Emery made just two changes at the start of second-half and turned the game completely on its head. From 1-2; now 4-2, Arsenal fans have found a new Darling in the Spanish gaffer. The Wenger days well and truly gone. #ARSTOT — Godwin Odiko ⚽ ™ (@GodwinOdiko) December 2, 2018

Also Kane and Eriksen quiet, Aurier poor in north London derby defeat - Spurs player ratings.brilliant management by Wenger to completely burn the confidence of this Arsenal team to ashes so they could later rise from them like a Phoenix. The master has done it again. — Across the Pond (@ATPradio) December 2, 2018
Hugo Lloris Sent the wrong way for Aubameyang's penalty but made a good low block through a crowd of bodies on 20 minutes. Made a save just before the half-time whistle to deny Mustafi but could only watch Aubameyang's curling second sail past him. He did the same for both Arsenal's third and fourth goals, getting nowhere near them. 5
Serge AurierNot one of his best games this season with a couple of early mistakes. Could have got much closer to close down Aubameyang for Arsenal's second goal. Picked up a yellow card for a wild challenge late on. 4
Juan Foyth
Made some important interceptions in the first hour but all he will remember is the fluffed attempt at a back pass which set Arsenal on their way to their third goal and changed the course of the three points. 4
Jan Vertonghen
Handed Arsenal their opening goal quite literally with a handball from a corner in the Spurs box at the start of the game and ended it with a second yellow card for a challenge on Lacazette which saw him head off down the tunnel. 3
Ben Davies
The Welshman made a brilliant sliding block to deny Bellerin on 20 minutes, but offered little going forward. Arguably the best of a poor backline on the day but that's not saying much. 5
Eric Dier
Powered home the leveller for Spurs from Eriksen's free-kick but moved back into the centre of a back three and struggled. Slid in far too early to allow Torreira to run through and score Arsenal's fourth. 5
Moussa Sissoko
One of Spurs' better performers on the day in the middle of the park in his third start in eight days. 6
Christian Eriksen
Fired in a low free-kick for Dier to stoop and head home Spurs' first half equaliser. Struggled to make things tick in the second half. 5
Dele Alli
The Gunners struggled to deal with his movement and he was brought down on countless occasions. Saved Tottenham at the other end with a goalline block. Picked up a yellow card though for a trip on Xhaka before being replaced in the second half. 6
Heung-Min Son
Forced Leno in two early low saves within the first 25 minutes and caused Arsenal all kind of problems, leading to Holdings bringing him down in the box for a penalty. He was presented with a great chance just after the hour mark when Bellerin's loose pass came his way but his effort was saved by Leno. Had a quiet second half. 6
Harry Kane
Slotted home his 26th London derby goal from the spot, sending Leno the wrong way. Saw his curling free-kick from distance tipped over by the keeper. Struggled for chances other than that due to poor service. 5
Subs
Harry Winks
Came on to add a bit of bite to the Spurs midfield but it soon became about damage limitation. 5
Lucas Moura
Couldn't make an impact down the right. 5
Danny Rose
Replaced Davies late on to little effect. N/A
